Set an image size limit

I’m afraid, Smush doesn’t support such a feature out of the box. However, the plugin uses the default workflow of the WP when it comes to how an image is uploaded.

So any restriction you place within the WP side should also apply when an image is uploaded via Smush.

You can use the wp_handle_upload_prefilter filter to place such limits. Please check this document for more info:
