Will it become possible to set how long an IP-address will be blocked if it gets blocked by the firewall for, for example, SQL injection attempts and LFI attempts?

I currently go through the traffic reports and manually perma-block offending IP-addresses, but I believe this should be a setting where we can set the number of minutes, hours or even days.

  • Hi Roland,
Actually, the Firewall will not block the IP address that attempts SQL injection attack, it will only block this attack request, so you can check all these blocked requests by Firewall from (Wordfence > Live Traffic) then set the filter to “Blocked by Firewall” and you will be able to block the IP address from there.

    Thanks.

Perhaps a future update can include an option to block the IP-addresses then, maybe even via a setting to determine how many blocked attacks result in an IP-block?

I will make sure to talk with our team about your suggestion and add your vote for this feature.

    Thanks.

This would be a huge improvement and help for the free version!!!

Because if someone attack my site, he doesn’t attack it at one time. He test more and more opportunities.
