Set Default Country/State For Stores Page / Fix Style Bug On Stores Page

Kindly let me know how to set the default Country and/or State on the Stores page?
Also, kindly let me know how to fix the style bug that’s on my Stores page? For some reason the “Choose Location” block is higher vertically than the other 2 blocks. Kindly see the below screenshot:
