Hi I’m developing a site for a client.

They would like the blog to use one domain and the rest of the site to use the main domain. I’m excited about this plugin but disappointed that setting a ‘static front page’ on the main domain affects the alternate domain as well.

Is it possible to use a static front page template for the main domain and a posts-page for the alt domain?

    Thanks!

  • Did you find any solution to this?

miniMu is EXACTLY the plugin I was looking for but this needs much more improvements.

    Hi,

That’s not currently possible. I agree it would be a useful feature, but would require substantial reworking of this plugin.

    Hey karanits,

Not sure if you’re developing a theme but if you are, you could try my solution: I created a global php variable with my domains and a function to check which domain the visitor is “under”. From there I served different template parts, one that acted like a static page and another that acted like a posts page.

If the ability to designate different themes isn’t needed, you might also check out the plugin WP Hydra which seems to be more stable.

that’s a bummer. The plugin looked so promising. On first sight.
    Are they any workarounds?
