Can I (via a hook perhaps) set default text for the “Load more” button and have it shown for Google Photos with more than 100 photos? I believe, in many cases it is more of a global setting than something I would have customized for each album.

It is especially annoying, when the “load more” text contains special letters (?,?,? for instance) – since then the shortcode edit isn’t workinging properly (it does not read the values from the gallery shortcode).

    No, this is not possible.

Can you please explain what is not working here? This functionality has existed for more than 5 years now, and I haven’t ever heard of it not reading values from the shortcode.

    Too bad ??

When I add ? to the “more” text field and saves it works fine, but if I click the shortcode it does not pre-select the options already added in the shortcode (like “Google Photos” in the first screen “Choose Gallery Source”)

OK – I will need to investigate further to why this is happening. Unfortunately it will not happen for a few days (I have a busy work-week this week), but I will hopefully get it done by the weekend.

I looked into this today. Unfortunately the fix is not straightforward. The thing is, “?” is a double-byte character, which, when passed from the front-end to the back-end, causes some challenges. There are some solutions available, but all of them require quite extensive testing. Let me see what I can do.

OK – I found one way to do it without impacting things too much. Let me run a few more tests. Hopefully I will have a fix for you by Monday.

This should be working with the latest release.
