Set local pickup plus as default option instead of shipping

  • I have a store that is based on local pickup, but if there are no location close to you then they are able to choose shipping.

    Now when they add something in the cart it set shipping as default and it is really hard for the customers to even see the option to choose local pickup since the letters are so small and not “in your face”.

    So how do I set local pickup as first option? Or even better to set shipping in the same drop down menu where they choose the pickup location.

    We’d like to check the issue further. However, I seem not to be able to access the shop page where I can add an item to cart so as to see how the checkout appears.

    Could you kindly share with us the shop page or one product page? In addition, we’d appreciate it if you could share with us your shipping zones and shipping methods from WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping.

    I was testing a bit and that is probably why it did not work. Should be up now.

    I also tried shopengine plugin to customize the checkout. It helped a bit, but not much.

    1. The spacing and how the positioning of the “pickup” information of the shop is not good at all and the lettering get tight together, while hughe space between information “klikk & hent” at the left and the information.

    2. I am not able to set pickup as prefered since that option is not to be chosen in the setup.
