Set poster image for video

Hi Tim,

I think you cannot set the poster image with WordPress controls, I guess you need to modify the HTML of the video in the editor. The poster image is set via the poster attribute, like in this code example: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/video#simple_video_example

The image is shown until a user clicks on the play button.

Ah, just noticed the link to your site. I am not sure if you can set a poster image with the Lyte plugin, or if you need to set that via YouTube.

Thanks Florian. I was trying other plugins while awaiting your reply, that’s the only reason Lyte is there. Will try your suggestion.
