• Hi, I’m using Frontier Post to allow certain types of users (Contributors, Authors, and Editors) to post content on the front end. The plugin does not allow me to add custom fields so I have no way to set the Post Level Restriction field.

Is there a way for me to do this automatically through some sort of API based on a category that the user selected through the front end. So at the time the user clicks on the Save button, the level could be automatically set based on a category setting. For example, I could require a Level 0 category that would then trigger some function to set the Post Level Restriction to Level 0.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Gail

  • All you need to do is set the level needed to access each category within s2Member (under Restriction Options).

Then, whenever a post is assigned to a category, it will require that category’s user role level in order for someone to access it.
