Set specific shipping date

Hi there,

Most products we sell are in stock in our warehouse and will be shipped the same day.

But sometimes products are on their way from a manufacturer. For those products, we know a specific shipping date that we want to communicate with our customers. So we’re looking for an option to create a custom field with a date (so not a number of days, but a real date) that we can enable/show for these products.

We’re currently using a plugin to archieve this (https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-estimated-shipping-date-per-product/14979300, see this screenshot for an example in Dutch on our website), but this solution is not ideal. This plugin only allows to input a number of days (not a fixed date), so we have to enter the date as text (so difficult to translate). Also, the plugin saves the values in an array, so there’s no specific field for the plugin. So it’s difficult to show a list which products have a set shipping date (for example in products view).

So to summarize: we’re looking for a way to set a specific shipping date for specific products (so a set date, not a number of days) and to store that value in a custom field.

Do you have any idea how to achieve this?
