set start time for non-youtube related links?

  • Is there a way to set the start time for an audio plugin NOT on youtube?

    I fiddled around in the javascript console enough to find that

    $(“audio”)[0].currentTime=400

    will set the time of the player IF I have already pressed play and stop. But is there a way to set the player to a time on page load?

    I tried using some async javascripts to do this, but it looks like one really has to start playback.

    Any ideas would be most welcome!
