Set static page and posts, problem

I wanted the static page to be a blog page. I had mad some posts, created a blog page, set it as the static page and posts, after update, preview, it looked fine. Went to view the site and the blog page had lots of my other website pages in it but not the posts. Does anyone know what might be wrong?
