Set the image from every post as featured image?

Hi,

Is it possible to get the plugin to scan every post, and for each one to set the image that is in the post as the featured image?

(Also, I’m trying to find a way to have my front page being just a grid of thumbnails of featured images that would link the actual posts. Any ideas about how to do that?)
