    Hi there,

I want to run an AB Headline test on my landing page. I am driving people to an Active Campaign form on my page which is installed via a code module on Divi. How can I set up a GA Event so it triggers when someone clicks on the form (or even better – reaches the Thank you page?) based on which headline they’ve seen?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @davemunn,

I’m going to assume you are working with GA4 and our new plugin, Goal Tracker for Google Analytics.

Here is how I would do it –

    1. Create a visibility tracking event for each headline. You can either create a new event name for each variation, or use the same event name and use a property with a different value for each headline. The former is a bit easier.
    2. Then, in Google Analytics, create a new exploration and with an event based segment for each option. The row will be the “Page Name” dimension, the column will use the “Event Count” metric.
    3. Add two filters :
      • Event name contains the names you assigned the titles.
      • Page Name equals the thank you page name.

I will try to create a little demo for this but it will take a day or two until GA displays the data so I can post it.

    Best,

    Yuval

Thanks bro – would be great to see your video. This would negate the need for Google Optimise / Crazy egg, etc.
