• I have been requested to look at creating a web site for a local country radio station. I have no problems getting a web site going for them (haven’t started yet) but they are also interested in having their web site automatically stream from the web site too. So, for example, in the car radio, you tune to 98.1 FM, but they also want a link on the web site that will let them stream their content from their web site. Has anyone done anything similar in the past? I have investigated searches on Google for a few hours and haven’t found much assistance. I have no idea how to transition the 98.1 FM broadcast to a server that I can link to for streaming. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • I am looking for same solution. I have found tools to
“stream audio” but not tools for streaming live AM or FM broadcasts online in wordpress. Somebody please provide some answers.

I too quest for the answer to this riddle. God help us!

Dear All, Ustream was recommended to me by a potential client.
    https://www.ustream.tv/
There is a Ustream wordpress plugin – I’d skip it since it isn’t compatible with the current version of WordPress BUT there is a plugin which I bet will work: a wonderful tool called TGN Embed Everything https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/tgn-embed-everything/

I wish everyone luck because I’m confident I will need to stream live content in the future – If you have a slow internet connection you may be in trouble.

Another streaming product: Stickam.com I’m curious which is better and why? Ustream or Stickam.com

I have looked into this a little bit, but not actually done it yet. My understanding was that you need to get streaming software and then embed it on the page. There is a lot of streaming software available, and some of it is free.

Then it’s up to your service provider to make sure you have enough bandwidth to adequately stream your content, which they will, of course, charge extra for.

That’s my understanding, but I will watch this thread because I might be doing this in the near future.
