    Hello,

I want all my featured images to be in the same 1:1 ratio format by default without having to crop the image before uploading.

Is there a way to do it?

I saw recommended Simple Image Size plugin but it hasn’t been updated for the last 3 years and I have had a bad experience with not updated plugins (malware!) so don’t want to go this way.

I thought that Settings -> Media and set thumbnail to 1:1 would do it, but not…

Is there a way how to set it up, or how can I target featured images by CSS, please?

    Thanks

If anyone is trying to solve it, I found a solution:

Instead of the Post Title module, insert the Image module and use a dynamic content feature image. Then it can be targeted with this snippet: https://www.peeayecreative.com/how-to-change-crop-divi-image-aspect-ratios-in-the-builder/

Oddly enough, I was just typing a response to ask some follow-up questions when I saw your update… as I had the suspicion your question related to features of some specific plugin or theme (and not WordPress itself).

And, indeed, from the link you gave, it seems this relates to Divi Builder — which is a commercial product… making it impossible for the WordPress support volunteers here to install it and try to help you.

So features you mentioned like “Image module” and “dynamic content feature image” are not things we’re familiar with ?? … and that would (at least partly) explain why your question went unanswered for over 15 hours!

I’m glad you found a solution though. But next time you have an issue with your Divi Builder, I’ll recommend you go to the official support channel for the product (ElegantThemes.com) as commercial products are not supported here at all.

    Good luck!
