Set various image defaults like alignment, size, & gallery settings?

    It’s very helpful to make images default to “file” when you’re using a shadowbox, so that users do it correctly, without needing to be told.

    I’m wondering if there are other settings in wp-admin/options.php that allow you to set defaults for other image insert settings like the alignment, size (medium, large, etc), as well as setting defaults for the Gallery settings (such as making them link to the file as well, the number of columns, etc)???

  • I’m looking for a way to change the default dimensions for WP’s default sizes (“small”, “medium”, etc) as well. Any updates on this?

    You can change the dimensions under Settings>Media. But I’ve been unable to find any way to set the default settings when inserting an image or gallery. Because of this I’m working with someone to develop a plugin that will do exactly this.
