    HI, first of all great job, this plugin is absolutely amazing, keep up the good work!
    I was wondering if there is a way to set a minimum order value for delivery service, below which it displays an alert that informs the user that the order must be at least a certain amount of euros, or dollars or whatever in order to make delivery service available.
    Thank you!

    you mean as in :
    wppizza->order settings->delivery charges?

    No, that’s not what I meant, unless I didn’t completely understand how to use that special setting… That allows you to decide if you want to reach a specific value where delivery charges are not going to be applied.
    In my case, IF you want delivery YOU ARE GOING to pay extra money.. at least that’s what the restaurant owner in my case wants. The fact is that he doesn’t want the user to be allowed to place an order WITH DELIVERY SERVICE when the order itself is below a certain value. Hope I explained myself a bit better.

    so he wants fixed delivery charges, but doesn’t want to deliver (or have even an order placed) when the total value is below a certain amount ?

    if that is the case, it doesn’t really do that at the moment .

    although there’s a case that can be made for adding such an option, i wonder – from a customer perspective – why i cannot just order a can of coke for 0.75 (or whatever) if I’m still willing to pay the delivery charges, whatever they may be …
    (not telling anyone how to run their business of course, just strikes me as a bit odd… )

    Exactly. If the user checks “i will pick up order myself” there is no need to set a minimum order, any order will be accepted. He just wants to hop in his van and make delivery only if the user ordered at least 20 euros worth of menu items. Which is even understandable. Is there any chance to have this implemented? I can offer to translate the backend of your plugin in Italian if you want ??

    Don’t ask me to invstigate the inner workings of italian restaurant owners’ minds… Although in this particular case I can understand why: it’s a tiny sushi place where only two people work… One gets in the van the other is left to tend to both kitchen and customers… So they want to make it “worth it”, I guess.
    So, can I hope it will be implemented?

    wasn’t going to ??

    >So, can I hope it will be implemented?
    at some point. cannot give you an ETA at the moment though as there are quite a few other things i need to attend to before I can get to that (although I hazard a guess in the next few weeks should be possible. but don’t quote me on that)

    > I can offer to translate the backend of your plugin in Italian if you want ??

    sure about that ? there are about 420 strings (haven’t counted, but round about 2500 words….)

    (@bublelicious)

    I can do that, one line at a time…. ?? Seriously, It really isn’t a problem. I am constantly doing it anyway… as italian doesn’t seem to be a high priority language in the wordpress world, as anywhere else! :). In this case I also hope I can push my request a little higher in the features request list, I’ll be honest. Can you blame me? ?? In Italy we have a little saying that goes pretty much like this : “a hand helps the other hand get washed, and both hands wash the face” ??

    I see what I can do.

    v 2.5.3 is now available which has this option implemented in
    wppizza->order settings->delivery charges

    look for “minimum order value to offer delivery…etc”

    First of all, THANK YOU. A huge one. A humongous one. I mean, really… you exceeded every expectation, and to be frank I never got this kind of support with PAID items, for crying out loud! You rock, kid! I wish I had 1/10th of your knowledge about WordPress and php programming.
    Now, more than happily (it’s the very least I can do) I will keep my part of the promise about translating WPpizza in Italian. How do I get the catalog file so I can translate it with Poedit and give you the language files? Is there a way to contact you via private message?
    THANK YOU AGAIN.

    i wished (those were the days….)

    I wished I were that competent. I just stumble along until it – somewhat – works

    >How do I get the catalog file

    just use the /lang/wppizza-locale-en_GB.po file

    >THANK YOU AGAIN.

    you’re wlecome
