Setting a "Pay Deposit"

WooCommerce core does not have a deposit function – you could set a lower price perhaps but that would mean some manual processing on your part to take the rest of the payment.

There are some deposits extensions including one from WooThemes if you do a search ??

thanks for your quick reply.
I’ve seen the extension, but it’s too pricey for me right now. I thought that it was possible to do it somehow without it.
I also was suggested to create 2 products instead and set a deposit price and a full amount price. Do you know if this would create andy sort of problems?

That would be fine. You could even use a variable product like that. Just as long as you take the full amount after deposit “offline” or manually.

My doubts:

– Have I done it properly?

What I’d like to change:

– How can I hide the title right below the menu bar?
– Can I hide the “SKU” and the price range right below it? It might look like if the tour is going to cost from 500 to 3000$ when 500$ is actually the deposit amount
– When I select a room type and a payment type, on the left it says “6 in stock …” and the price. Can I hide that?

Hmm actually this might be a problem now I see your product type. Each variation has 6 availability. Availability isn’t going to be shared between variations..

SKU is optional, you can unset it.

What would you suggest me to do?

There is a cheaper deposits extension on codecanyon you could try. I have no idea if it works and you won’t get support from Woo however.
