  • Email before download isn’t an extension developed or support by Download Monitor. We offer a similar extension which we do support, you can find more information on this extension here: https://www.download-monitor.com/extensions/email-lock/

Hi Barry. thanks for the response. So are you saying Email Before Download is preventing the function to add a thumbnail to a download item in Download Monitor? I have the same set up using earlier versions of both plugins and the option to add a thumbnail to a download is visible. To be honest, its not a massive issue, just slightly frustrating when you cant do something that seems logical. I’ve tried deactivating Email Before download, but the function to add a thumbnail to a Download item doesn;t appear.

How do you actually add a thumbnail? I haven’t found any reference to it in any documentation i’ve read. Could be being blind, so apologies in advance if thats the case!

    Hey,

I actually think this is a theme problem. Some themes override the thumbnail settings Download Monitor sets. Can you try to activate a default WP theme (like twentyfifteen) and see if you can add a thumbnail to your download?

    Kind Regards,

    Barry Kooij

Booom. Yeah ok, it looks like the theme was holding back the Featured Image section on the Download Item. (assuming thats where you set the thumbnail) So, yes, ok. The theme is the issue.

    Thanks
