Setting customized email as sender not working

Hello, i must first of all give you thumbs up for this awesome plugin. Its working just as stated but i have one issue. i want mails being sent to show something like “[email protected]” rather than showing my gmail account as sender. I have set that in the settings tab already, but when mails are sent they still show my gmail account as sender. Please what can i do?
