I am struggling to figure out the menu header before building my site. I would like to set menu background transparent. I’ve been working on this for over a week to no avail. I can set background color and text color, but I cannot find where to set background transparent. Any tips will be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi,

You need to change the background color of the ROW containing the header menu.
    Navigate to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Header,Footer, Allpages >> Edit Header/Home Header.
    https://popularfx.com/docs/customizer/edit-header/

And change the Background color of the Row in Options Tab
    https://pagelayer.com/docs/getting-started/styling-options/#background-style

Thank you for your response. My objective is to make the header transparent so the top of image below menu bar shines through, but that doesn’t happen when I adjust the transparent setting. Am I trying to do this in the wrong place? I will appreciate any suggestion to achieve this. Thank you.

    Hi,

We are working on the Background slider issue and will let you know once this gets fixed.

If there is any other issue do let us know. If possible attach a screenshot/screenshot links.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I have another issue that seems to be a bug. When I attempt to edit the menu in header from Header,Footer,Templates,Pages > header, I attempt to change font color and pointer color and nothing happens. To demonstrate, I used bright colors in the attached graphic to show that the menu does not reflect the update. I have managed to use CSS to change font color, but have had no luck in being able to change menu pointer. Thank you for any improvement you can do here, as the Pagelayer plugin is awesome otherwise.

Here is link to a graphic that shows the issue:

    Hi,

It looks like you have written additional CSS to make the changes for the primary menu so you need to change the color/background color there only as it overwrites the builder setting.

Also, Background Color Pointer is a PRO feature, If you want to use this feature without using the help of CSS then you can upgrade to the PRO, or else you can do the same using custom CSS.
Primary Menu >> Pointer >> Background Color

See below documentation for more help

Thank you for clarifying that. Other items that are PRO have identifiers to show that, but the Background Color Pointer doesn’t have the indicator and that led me to believe it was part of the free version. I guess that just makes it a documentation bug. Anyway, good to know. I really like Pagelayer and want to know it better before pursuing the PRO version. Thanks for your response and the good support.

    Hi,
Our Banner Slider issue has been solved in our latest Pagelayer update.
Kindly update the plugin and check if your issue is solved or not.

In our Primary Menu, we provide the background color option as free.
But to use background color you need to have the Background pointer activated.
In the LegalPad theme, Pointer is selected to None.

    Regards.

Thank you for your help. Now, with Pagelayer and some CSS I have figured out how to change background for header and menu and to change text color of both. Pagelayer has significant capabilities and I look forward to learning more. I do appreciate your help.
