Setting percentage height breaks map

In the plugin ‘height’ settings it says:
Default height for maps. Values can include “px” but it is not necessary. Can also be “%”. You can also change this for each map
Works fine with pixels but map doesn’t display when using % (default and shortcode).
What am I doing wrong?
