Setting Profile Image During Registration

    Hello,

    I am currently working on a site which utilizes Ultimate Member as a source for core functionality. The concept of the site includes a need for user profiles to be thoroughly filled out, including a profile image. I would like the user to be able to set their profile image during registration flow as part of a smooth user experience, though it does not seem that this functionality is possible within the plugin.

    I have seen in previous threads on this matter that the plugin did not support this functionality as of a few months ago, though it was stated that the feature may be coming in an update. Since I am using the latest version of the plugin and have not seen any mention of the feature in the support forums, I am wondering if this feature is still being considered for addition to the plugin, or if there is an official workaround which will allow users to set their profile image during registration until the feature is officially implemented.

    What is the status of this feature, and is there a workaround which will work with the latest version of the plugin?

  • Just a commentary while you wait for an answer. If you force users to upload an avatar (or a wall cover) you will have less user registrations because some will quit and not come back, some will have to come back later, some will upload something inappropriate for them or the site.

    Some could even have uploading failures if you don’t set size settings right and some will simply not register as they don’t want to have their pictures online.

    These are the main reasons I can think of as to why nobody needs that option.
