Setting same prices inclusive of tax for different countries

    We are a UK based store selling a consumer product that can be shipped anywhere in the world. We want the end selling price to be the same to all customers wherever the products are shipped to. The selling currency will also be the same for all customers (￡GBP). The problem is that WooCommerce tax settings prevent us from being able to charge all customers the same post-tax price and account for tax correctly in the store so I want to see if your plugin can help.

    To give an example, product price is set at ￡120 in WooCommerce (settings: prices entered inclusive of tax; display prices in shop including tax; calculate tax based on shipping address). For a customer in France they pay ￡120, of which VAT is ￡20 (20%). However, a customer in the USA also sees the price at ￡120 on the store but when they order and reach checkout, the price is reduced to ￡100 because there is no VAT for an USA shipping address. This is a problem for us as we would like the USA customer to see ￡120 on the store and pay ￡120 when they checkout. I can work around that to a degree by setting calculate tax based on “shop based address” which would apply the UK’s 20% to all sales. This results in all customers paying the same ￡120 which is what we want but the downside is that WooCommerce will not accounted for the VAT correctly for the USA customer – it thinks we owe ￡20 in VAT on that sale which we don’t.

    Could your plugin be used to to set the same price inclusive of tax for USA and for France (￡120) and get around the tax problem for the USA above (i.e. zero tax on the ￡120 price)? Would it also work for recurring subscriptions for products?

    Yes, you can ??

    with PBC if you entering tax inclusive of tax, you are setting the price with your shop base country taxes (20%) for all “pricing zones”.

    With PBC you can: Add a pricing zone for USA, and set an exchange rate of 1,4 (UK 20% and UK 20% extra of entering tax inclusive of tax) then, USA customers see and pay 120GBP.

    Basic version does not support WooCommerce Subscriptions, you need to upgrade to get support for WooCommerce Subscriptions.

    The upper solution seems really good and impressive. This solves a frequent problem in WC. I have almost the same issue as above and wanted to double check before diving into the details of your app. My problem is exact like the upper case of occmerce execpt:

    I sell in different countries but show all prices in € what I want to keep.
    In some countries tax is included and some countries need no taxation.
    But as above I want to display the prices all the same and for me it does not matter if they include tax or not.

    Can I use “exchange rate work around” even if I use just a single currency to achieve my goal?

    Means two countries, both see the price of 10.-, but one includes tax and the other does not.

    Yes, you can use “exchange rate” even if you are using a single currency.
    The plugin allows flexibility to work with currencies and exchange rates. The exchange rate is value to multiply the prices. You can use it as you need to get your pricing goals.

    Hi Oscar,
    I have a store that sells a product to France at 100 euros, with 20% tax included and to the rest of Europe at 100 euros but without tax.
    I have used your solution and given an exchange rate of 1.2 to Europe outside France and this works great.
    However, I also sell to the US at a different price, no tax. If I select “Set price manually” for the zone US and set the price at 200 dollars, the price appears in the shop at 166.68 dollars.
    I could inflate the price manually in the product but I would rather avoid doing this for each zone and each product to limit calculation errors.

    I’d just seen your feed on this topic – I’ve been looking for a plugin that can help with the original question.

    I downloaded the plugin and got it set up except when I add in a zone it only lets me add the UK, I can’t add any other location. Ideally, I need EU zone and the rest of the world.

    Any help you could give would be great

    We have a similar problem.

    prices for controuy origin is right but everyone else is showing without.
    The Taxes in the woocom is set to * to calculate the same on all countries.
