    Hi there,

Love the plugin! Curious as to whether it’s possible to add an expiry date to slides? So that they automatically stop showing once that date arrives. It’s helpful when a slide is used to promote an event, the slide could then automatically be deleted/made a draft once the event has taken place.

    Thanks heaps,

    Micah

Hi @micah500 thanks for your message. Scheduling is one of the most requested features so it will definitely be added (probably as paid add-on).

Would it also work for you if you could set an expiry date on a slide while editing a channel? The expiry date will then belong to the slide on that specific channel, not the slide itself. This is what I have in mind when it comes to scheduling because it is the most flexible. But I could also understand that setting an expiry date to the slide itself is useful in some use cases, where there are many many channels and the slide just needs to disappear from all channels at a given time.

Let me know what you think!

I was not the originator of the question, but in my opinion using the expiry date on a slide using the core WordPress structure would be awesome.

    Hi Menno,

Sounds great! Hmm, to me it’s more valuable to have the expiry date attached to the slide itself regardless of which channel it’s on. That’s because we could then promote Event 123 on all channels in the geographic area, then have it automatically removed from all channels once the event has taken place.

I’m glad to hear it’s been requested by lots of people. Any idea as to how far away it is? And as a paid add-on is fine! I don’t mean to sound impatient, but if it’s more than a month away I’ll put a temporary workaround in place.

Once again, thanks for an excellent plugin!

Hi @micah500, could be a month away, maybe a bit more, but hopefully not much.

Good to hear about your use case, I’m now thinking of building both per slide and per slide/channel scheduling.

    Best,
