• I’d expect any basic GUI for web design would have a clearly visible place to set meta tags for SEO. I don’t see it. Even worse, when I look at the text tab on the main page, all I see is the html for the text area, not the full page.

When I searched the the site for tag or seo, all the results were in the plugins directory. I didn’t see anything on the first few pages for any information on basic functionality.

Is there any? If so, where’s it hiding? If not, that means I must use a plugin, right?

  • Hey ithinktfiam,

More often than not, those features would be specific to a theme or provided by a Plugin. The options provided by default are the “Site Title” and “Tag Line”.

Sorry, wp.org isn’t emailing me when posting and my profile doesn’t link to my posts. I’m seeing how many things are just not up to quality. Still, for a first site it has free templates. I’ll move off when I can.

Thanks for the feedback, that’s what I thought but help was useless. Thank you very much for clarifying.
