Setting to change the name of the cookie

Hey, I am having an issue where the caching system(Varnish) used by my hosting provider is set up to only allow cookies that use a certain naming convention to be accepted. I am aware that I can manually edit the name of the cookie in the plugin code, but that will break updates and nobody wants to do that. Is it possible to set a filter on the cookie name or create a setting for the plugin that would allow us to change the name of the cookie?
