• Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting in the forum. I hope this is the right location for this.

I’m looking for a bit of advice on a project I’m currently in the process of planning out. Basically I have to merge 3 sites into one. So immediately I thought, “Hey! what a great scenario to set up a network with multisite”…but then I ran into a few issues which are probably down to inexperience on my part.

    I have 3 sites

    https://www.mysite.com
    https://www.mysite.co.uk
    https://www.mysite.ie

I would like to merge them into a network like so

    https://www.mysite.com/
    https://www.mysite.com/ie
    https://www.mysite.com/uk

I know how to do this and I’ve gotten it working on my localhost and I can see the benefits of setting up a multisite. However I am wondering what the best approach is for region specific content and content common to all of the sites on the network.

lets take a contact page for example. This is going to be the same regardless of which site your on. Would it make sense to add it to the https://www.mysite.com/ and then just link back from the other sites?

Then for region specific pages like, lets say a product page (assuming you serve different products to different regions) would I just create them within each site on the network?

I’m sorry if this is a stupid question but I’d like to get the input of the community or people who’ve done something similar in the past

    Many thanks,

    Jack
