Setting up a news feed (CRON)

Hi, I’ve taken over maintenance of a news site where most of the content comes from a feed service.

Someone recently realised that no posts have been fed for a while. I have managed to get the original feed credentials and have been told that ‘we used Easycron’ by the previous agency who built the website but this is all i have to go on.

I’m new to feeds and crons and neither the feed service nor Easycron seems to have anything useful in telling me how to set this up.

Can I ask, is this something that is typically setup at the WordPress end of things or is it all part of the Cron?

I can find nothing in the website back-end that is calling anything feed related. I’ve created a basic Cron in Easycron using their very bare bones tutorial about how to create one, but am not surprised that this hasn’t magically turned into posts appearing.
