Setting up A2 Optimized
-
Hi A2,
I’m an A2 Customer on Managed VPS. Can you help me (all of us) with some advice about setting up the plugin please?
My VPS has Litespeed and Memcached active, and Cloudflare. I also have Railgun.
FIRST TOPIC
In what order should we set up caching? We have menu items for Autoptimized, Performance, A2 Optimized and Litespeed inside WordPress. Some of these I’m sure override each other if they aren’t set up carefully. So can you give some advice about the order of things? For example, several of these can minify css but I’m sure that we don’t want them all to mifiy css, right? What I would like is some guidance to say, for example:
“Set up Litespeed/Memcached first. Next, Set up “XYZ” but ignore any settings that are already covered by Litespeed. Next, in A2 Optimized, do XYZ. Next, in Autoptimized, set up ABC”. Some sort of guidance like this would be greatly appreciated.
SECOND TOPIC
As I’m an A2 hosting customer, why doesn’t the plugin recognise that Litespeed and Memcached are active? It gives a warning. Same goes for Cloudflare. Surely that is an easy fix, can you add it?THIRD TOPIC
We have the three menu items with various cache purging options. On the top admin bar there’s an “A2 Optimized” link, as well as on the left admin bar. This valuable screen space isn’t doing much for us right now. My suggestion is that on the top bar you could add a dropdown menu item to A2 Optimized that would flush all applicable caches including Cloudflare in one operation. That would be a significant step forward for all of us and save a lot of time. If not, give us the option to remove the A2 Optimized link from the top bar at least please.I look forward to your thoughts.
Many thanks,
