• I am new to this, but I already have a site built, and I just want the wordpress blog to be on one page. Everytime I follow the instructions it ends up creating an index.php page as though it would like to be the main page for the site. Is there no way around this? I just want it contained (with the exception of blog entries) on a page called Blog. I realize as someone clicks an entry, a new page will open, but what I am getting at is I have a lot of other pages like contact, services, etc. that I don’t want to lose. How do I get the blog to live within an existing page?

  • You’ll want to install WordPress in its own directory under your current site. See the Codex https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

Within your current site, you would then point the “blog” link to the subdirectory. Or you may want to look at using the iframe function to pull the blog into an existing page of your site (less elegant but a theme with no “decoration”) would look like it fits with the rest of your site pretty easily.
