• All of my images are exactly 1000 pixels wide

So in the old system I would put content width equals 1000 and all the text would be exactly 1000 and any full width images will be shown at the native 1000

But it doesn’t seem to work that way because even with these default settings the content with ends up 984

what is Content Left/Right Edge Spacing because it does not seem to translate to padding or margin on the output

How should I set these up

  • Hi there!

The maximum content width is the total width of the content container. The left and right edge padding values are added inside the content container, so it can make the actual content width smaller – https://share.zight.com/2Nu8w4rd

If you want the actual content width to increase, you can adjust the content maximum width value globally.

On the other hand, I am using the same values as your theme but the my image is still shown in 1024px width on a desktop view. Here’s a link to my page with an image – https://karla.wppluginsupport.net/gallery-blocks/

Could you give me a page URL? I want to check the styles and see why the image is not showing in 1000px.

I’m testing with content width 1000px

Left/Right Edge Spacing 25px instead of rem – is now more consistent

now content width is 950px. The Left/Right Edge Spacing isn’t part of that container, it’s somewhere else

This is a header block. It starts at 950,

    maybe I should set 1050

It just seems strange. Why this mess?

    Hi there!

It would be great if you can send a page URL so I can identify what page layout settings you’re using.

If there’s a reason why you can’t give a page, do these:

    1. Right-click on the page and click “View Page Source“.
    2. Copy the whole HTML code and send it back to me here using Pastebin.

    Regards,
    Karla
