Setting up email on WordPress hosted site

  • When we signed up we were told we can have email addresses for our team. I was told to go to our dashboard and set up the email addresses. I don’t see anything on the dashboard about email. How do we get an email address for each team member? It would be like [email protected] or [email protected]. I see others doing this, but we can’t find where that is set up.

  • Whomever told you probably didn’t mean the WordPress dashboard. They would have meant your email provider’s dashboard which is possibly the same as your webhost. That’s where you’ll set up email addresses.

    Maybe you were told to go to your hosting provider’s dashboard; which is different to the WordPress dashboard. Can you contact your hosting providers about this?

    Go to your admin page for your wordpress website
    Go to My Domains
    Select the domain you want to have email for
    Click Edit Domain
    Select email from left side
    Enter the email info–it will only forward email, but you can use gmail and have it set up so they see the yourname@yourdomain as your email address
