• I’m trying to set up a site using s2member and buddypress. What I’m trying to do is:

    -set up a registration page where users would need to submit minimal contact info as well as check an “agree to…” checkbox
    -then have them pay for their registration via paypal
    -once registered, they could go to their profile and fill out more detailed information about themselves.

    Not sure how to do this using the two plugins…I can create profile fields using buddypress and set up paypal with s2member but can’t figure out how to tie the two together.

  • I understand you want to create premium profiles which show more profile fields than free profiles. Actually I am just paying a programmer to create a plug in to bridge Buddypress with S2member in order to devise premium profiles. It will be released free and open source as soon as it is up and running. If you contact me I can let you know when it will be released.

    @heiner, this is exactly what I’m looking for. Please let me know if you’ve made any progress with the plugin. I might be able to provide some funding for the project. Thanks!

    @heiner: I ve got the same problem with s2member and buddypress and I am looking for a solution for it. please also let me know how your developments are going. I might also be able to provide some funding. regards, Clemens

    @waveminded and @clemens100 could could you please contact me via https://lunar-horse.tv/de/team/impressum/
    The plug in is working but not ready to be distributed. But I am sure you will be happy with it for the time being.

    @wavemind, @clemens100 & @heiner. I am writing on this thread today to say that I am ready to release the first public version. There is still some tweaks that will be done soon but its stable enough so i will try and get it into the plugins directory tonight.

    Its up and running. Updates will be flying out during next month but stable enough to be released.

    @ashley
    it appears your plugins main file bp-restrict-profile.php has what i’m assuming is debugging code on line 77. I HOPE that those aren’t active credentials for your database. You may want to remove them regardless. also in the future use the WP DB constants DB_NAME,DB_USER, DB_PASSWORD, DB_HOST.

    I am looking for a suitable plugin to bridge WordPress (with PageLines Pro) with buddyPress and s2-member in a way similar to the one of user “cdragin”. So the user has to insert the registration data only once and this data is used for wordpress, buddyPress and s2member (and later on additionally by my php mailing list “superwebmailer”). In the beginning the visitor of the site should be able to surf the site without registration, then registers as an user at a basic level free of costs, but without buddyPress access. Later on the user can update his membership via Paypal payments and get more access, also to buddyPress.

    The mentionned plugin above doesn’t solve my problems – as far as I’ve seen it.

    As I don’t have time to work on this myself, is anyone of you interested to help me out and solve this issue – as a paid work?
    Please let me know directly via Email. The result should then be published under an open source license.
