setting up test site

  • I already use WordPress for my blog. I am planning to use it as CMS for the rest of the site. (When I do this I plan to make substantial changes to content and design.) Is there a way I can keep two WordPress sites going on the same URL so I can keep the site the way it is, while I tinker with the new version? How do you suggest doing that?

    What I decided to do is to copy all my WordPress files into a new folder then modify the settings according to the Moving WordPress page. As long as there is not direct link to the new pages I suppose there isn’t any harm to this. I will let you know how it goes in case anyone is interested in doing the same.
