• Hi,

When I select the home page from the General page and save the changes at the bottom, the search engine index option changes automatically. This search engine page also includes a number of other options, such as only registered users can access this page, which is provided by a third-party plugin. WordPress has more than 20 plugins installed, and I use Divi as a page builder. Is there a reason for this unusual activity?

This problem may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to deactivate all plugins and switch to the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. If the problem goes away, re-activate them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in without affecting normal visitors to your site.

It’s most likely caused by one of your plugins.

Are you able to reproduce the problem here? https://playground.wordpress.net/?url=/wp-admin/options-reading.php

If so, what exactly are the steps you’re taking?

If not, try disabling your plugins one by one till the problem goes away.

@macmanx and @tellyworth Thank you so much for the quick response.

I’m using OneLogin SAML SSO plugin for ‘visible only to registered user’ access, and this option has been changed to ‘Discourage search engines from indexing the site’.

Is this due to the conflict?

I will check by deactivating and reactivating the plugins and theme.

It’s hard to tell if that specific plugin is the problem without ruling it out or contacting the plugin’s support.

Please follow the steps in our replies and let us know how it goes.

    @macmanx Thank you.

I’m not talking about the specific plugin. Is there any chance of Theme or other plugin Conflict?

    How i can resolve it?

There is always chance of a theme or plugin conflict.

You’ll only be sure there isn’t one if you can reproduce the issue with all plugins deactivated and theme switched to Twenty Twenty-Four.

As mentioned earlier, if you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in without affecting normal visitors to your site.

This is not something we can check for you, and we do not have an encyclopedic knowledge of the over 59,000 plugins and 12,000 themes in the free directories alone.
