Settings cannot be saved (“Something went wrong, […]”)

first of all: Thanks for providing this plugin as a free version, this is really feature-rich and well thought out, kudos…!

Just went ahead and wanted to give your plugin a try but unfortunately I am getting an error message on every settings page when I am trying to save my edits:

Something went wrong, maybe you need to refresh the page and try again, but you will lose all your changes

And indeed I am losing all the edits made so I cannot use the plugin at all…

Running a multisite environment with quite a few must-use plugins active so maybe there is a conflict somewhere?

Was wondering if I could debug this properly somehow? There are no entries in WP’s debug.log and I have made sure there are no console / javascript errors that might interfere.

Would greatly apprecitate your help and am also willing to purchase the pro edition to get premium support.
