    Hi @henty ,
provided that you have already uninstall the plugin and now you have a clean install it is probably a conflict with an other plugin or your WordPress theme. In order to help us to investigate your issue please go through the following steps.

    Hi,
step 1 Done but no results. I desactivated all plugins and activated Twenty Nineteen theme.
step 2. Done, no result. In general settings I changed Enable Chat from Yes to No, saved, refreshed the page and again Yes option was selected.

    Information you asked for:
    1) Google Chrome Version 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit)
    2) WordPress Versión 5.5.1 Spanish
    3) utf8mb4_unicode_ci

    Hi @henty ,
thank you for the information. We have found an issue during the update from 8.x.x version to 9.x.x version. Which is related to unicode characters. Please follow these steps and let us know if your issue is fixed.

    1) Go to Live Chat > Settings > General Settings
    2) Select “No fields” in “Required Chat Box Fields” setting
    3) Set the value of the field “Input Field Replacement Text” to empty.
    4) Save settings.

Also you can check all the settings text fields for any encoded characters like ‘\u….’

    Hi,

This solution fixed some issues. The settings are saving correctly now but some are not updated in frontend. I empty cache but I′ve still found issues like:
    – custom chat icon is partly covered
    – in header if the chat widow default icon of “agents with headphones” appears with default name “Soporte”

I have the same issue on my end, except that in my case when I hit SAVE all I get is a flash – the form flashes quickly as if it was being submitted, for about half a second, and nothing happens. At all.

I have tried the suggestion above and nothing still happens – nothing gets saved.

I’ve tried disabling all the other plugins and going back to default theme, same issue.

It’s really weird, so whatever you did to this latest version broke something, somewhere, somehow… and I can’t change any settings in the backend of this plugin now.

    Hello @crazyserb,

Can you please let us know in

    1. What version of the plugin you are in?

    2. If you upgrade please provide the version from which you upgraded from.

    3. What browser you are using?

    4. Do you get any console errors on your Browser Tools?

    Hello @henty,
Can you please send as an email with all the information/screenshots related to your problem @ [email protected] ?

    Thank you.

    @wordpress3cx
    1. Latest version, 9.1.0
    2. Upgraded from 9.0.24, but was experiencing it on that version too
    3. Chrome/Firefox/Edge
    4. No, zero errors or warnings.

The screen just flashes without anything being submitted on SAVE. No errors, no nothing. And happens in all browsers.

    (@wordpress3cx)

@crazyserb if you try to do a clean installation you will get the same behavior?

    CrazySerb

    (@crazyserb)

Well, I disabled all the other plugins temporarily and used a default theme, and it’s still happening.

Unfortunately “clean installation” is not an option, as our website is already live and way beyond the point of any sort of “starting from scratch” and re-importing content.

There’s gotta be some other solution for this, as the plugin is simply not working in our current setting when it comes to saving anything….

Could we have a copy of your settings to test this out internally?
You’d need to go to Live Chat > Tools > Export Settings

    Hi @crazyserb,
we have replicated your issue and a fix will be part of our next plugin update. It seems to be a problem with the settings in your Chat Operating Hours settings, so in the meantime till our next update you are able to follow the steps below in order to successfully save settings.

    1. Go to Live Chat>Settings>Chat Operating Hours
    2. Check the choice “Configure the times that chat should be available”
    3. Delete all the existing schedules ,clicking the icon in the right of each schedule.
    4. Uncheck the choice “Configure the times that chat should be available”
    5. Save settings

After these steps you will be able to save any other setting. Finally please note that when you are saving settings there is a validation process which results is displayed in settings tabs on the left of main panel as a red number indicating the count of errors found during validation. In order to see more information about each error you have to select the corresponding setting tab.

@wpdev3cx question then – if you’ll be solving this issue in the next version, can I just leave everything as is and wait for the updated version to come out instead? Or will I have to go through those steps in the updated version too to get things working?

    Plugin Support wpdev3cx

    (@wpdev3cx)

@crazyserb of course you can wait till the update. After the update you will be able to save settings without this procedure.
