The short answer is: There is currently no setting for that, that does not involve coding!

I am not very happy with the current templating mechanism and I would prefer to have a better support of post formats, so that you do not have to use different users in the future.

We heavily rely on transformers lately, so you could hook into the the loader, to load your own transformer instead: https://github.com/Automattic/wordpress-activitypub/blob/2d62cbf171d3b3806d5fd4a6c2f97fcd466c5e8d/includes/transformer/class-factory.php#L54

Or you can simply filter the template based on your user: https://github.com/Automattic/wordpress-activitypub/blob/2d62cbf171d3b3806d5fd4a6c2f97fcd466c5e8d/includes/transformer/class-post.php#L814

I think the last one would be the easier way.

Here is an example, that you could extend to your needs. Be sure to add the correct User-ID instead of USER_ID and I have not tested if the code really works (but it should in theory ??):

function brng_filter_template( $template, $post ) {
  if ( USER_ID === $post->post_author ) {
    return '[ap_hashtags]';
  }
  return $template;
}
add_filter( 'activitypub_object_content_template', 'brng_filter_template', 10, 2 );

Hey there and thank you for looking into this. I think at the moment, everything can be solved by using the WordPress Activity-Objecttype.
