    I assigned 5 people to a project, but when I added a task to that project, an Email went out to my entire user list notifying them that a task has been created. How did this happen? And how do I prevent it from happening in the future?

    There doesn’t seem to be a good explanation in your settings nor in your documentation on how to handle notifications. Is this a premium feature? If so, where is the documentation? Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting in touch and my sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

    Please find an update version attached that contains a fix for this issue as well as new project specific notification settings which are disabled by default and will only send to project members by default. I will be adding some more documentation on this soon and am sorry for the trouble this has caused.

    Thank you for your quick response, but the replacement files you sent do not fix the problems. In fact, they introduce new problems. For instance, I cannot make changes to the settings. I try to remove access for users, or change Email notification settings for a project (both via checkboxes), but they do not take affect. Honestly, I do not have any more time to troubleshoot. I wish you luck, but this is clearly Beta software from my perspective and should be removed from WordPress. It does not do as you advertise.

    Thanks for the response and I am really sorry to hear that you feel that way and that I could not get this issue resolved sooner.

    I have tried reproducing this issue with the settings not saving however, I am not able to reproduce it on my end to fix this.

    I am sorry for the inconvenience and frustration caused and will continue to test on different installations and server configurations to find the cause of this error, however, I wish you good luck on your journey forward and hope you find a plugin that meets your needs.

    Excuse me yes it does and the fix is simple. install this plugin

    then you can control the areas people can do. Remove the “Post” privilege for the user profile and boom it is working perfectly.

    I ran into this and it was a easy work around if you know how.

    I have mine working just fine. If you ever have any issues let me know. I am pretty good at finding the issues.

    Frankly this was not a issue only a user profile permission issue that was easily fixed using that plugin.

    Any site that deals with permissions needs that plugin. Glad I could help.

    Did you every get the backend updates done ?

    Also I will be working on the videos really soon on the configuration to help out with that.

    I can confirm from our own tests that the mass email notifications bug appears to have been fixed after v2.93.0.

    Hi everyone,

    I am just marking this issue as resolved as this has been mentioned to be fixed in the last update and am not able to reproduce this in the latest version (v2.93.0).
