Settings Missing/Blank

    Hi, I have installed the Events Calendar and even set some dates and venues but the google map does not show up. I figured it had something to do with the API key and went to the settings area.

    The settings section is completely blank. There is nothing there… just a gray box.

    General, Display, Licenses, APIs and Imports … there is nothing there.. just blank.

    Is this normal? Please help me fix this map issue. Here is a link to a page where the map should appear. https://petawawaemployment.ca/event/ace-the-interview/

  • Hi,

    I had the same issue when I first started using the Events Calendar. You are missing the Google Maps API key that you need to get from Google. You can set this up in the Settings of the plugin in the API tab. There you can also find a link that takes you to the place where you can set up this key.
    Make sure you also set up the filter correctly when setting up the key in Google:
    HTTP (Websites)
    *petawawaemployment.ca/event/*

    The problem is that there’s nowhere for me to add the API because all of the Settings Tabs are blank. You can see a screenshot here… https://snag.gy/mhYyUw.jpg

    I won’t be able to help you with that part and will have to leave that up to others. What has helped me a lot is starting the developer tools in Chrome or the browser of your choice and have a look at any messages in the Console log. That might point you to where you need to look for a solution.
    That’s the way I also saw you’re missing the API key info.
