I’m glad I am not the only one. I am going crazy constantly making changes and them not sticking.

I finally got my site looking perfect and one update and now it is never the same and I cant fix it.

I really wish I understood enough to do a child theme…

I can′t either change anything and the last update took away all my settings, colour, footer text and so on. I had blue colour on the theme, now it′s black. Can′t understand that an update remove settings!

You should be running a child theme anyway however this will not completely fix this issue. Hopefully Nobita can fond errors in the code.

Having same problem. Just updated theme on my site and all my customizations have been wiped out completely: width, colors, tag and category color feature turned off, menu layouts, certain font sizes. No settings will save attempting to fix them. This is a disastrous bug.

ETA: it’s worse than I thought, it’s wiped out the custom CSS I had inserted into the theme via the customizer’s Site-Wide CSS system. That’s a lot of work to have lost. That will teach me not to casually update a theme without backing up my DB. What a disaster.

BUG fixed version 1.433 of raindrops.

    Please update

    Thank you.

Customizer Settings will still not save.

@jeditricks Always back up. at least 3 weeks. 3 different backups

Is this problem being worked on? It’s been a few days since I saw any comments on this subject in any threads.

adairk, the most recent update solved my issue. I’m not running any of the plugins that the theme suggests, just a clean install, and that worked fine. It worked both with and without the automatic color scheme system (I prefer without, but the update had it set to default on).

Good to hear that your problem has been solved.
I’m in my fourth week of the customizations reverting back to default and the last update just made it worse so have not updated several of my sites. Others that I updated are so bad that I needed to change themes. And I never have used any of the suggested themes.
I have even deleted ALL PLUGINS and tried with no luck, and then replaced some of them.
I wonder how Yak Chum is doing!

That sounds very frustrating. I’d recommend making sure to post in your specific threads to get that support then, it could be that your issues differ from the rest of the users and would be best voiced there as they may be specific to your servers, your WP builds, your PHP versions, your update paths, things of that nature. For example, Madcow’s issue in this thread is one I had with this theme when I first started using it a year ago, but I don’t think I’ve had it in months since an update a while back, so my post in this thread probably muddied it more than helped.
