I installed the plugin and was able to add a venue and also categories. However, whenever I try to change anything in the Settings menu it does not save. I have uninstalled themes and am using the default and the only other plugin I have running is Wordfence.

I have searched the forums and have not found this issue. Any ideas?

    Thanks so much!

just to narrow down the problem and help us debug the issue is it possible to try the following temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems
    – looking at your php logs to see if there’s any other error

Thanks so much for your reply. Here is what I did to replicate the issue:

I reinstalled wordpress fresh and only installed the Events Management plugin.
    I used the default theme.
    Settings are still not saving
I am using PHP 5.6 on GoDaddy hosting

I am not sure how to view a php log but have enabled logging in my account so I am hoping I can get that asap. Not sure if there is another way?

    Thanks again!!!

One other thing that would be useful is to activate wp_debug to see if that shows any errors:

Thanks, I turned that on and even added the log but am getting nothing. I will see if I can dig up a PHP error anywhere. I haven’t seen this issue on the community board and am hoping to not have to choose another plugin as this one is perfect.

    Thanks

Just as a side note, I do not see any table in the database that indicates it is storing these settings, so my assumption is there may be a configuration file that may have a permissions issue. Does that make any sense?

The settings are stored in the database, so there are no file permissions involved.

Have you tried testing with WordFence deactivated?

    Yes,
I have a fresh install and the only plugin I have is the Event Manager and am using a default theme.

Did you try running wp_debug? If so, did you see anything that might be related to this?
