I’d love to try out this plugin, but every time I try to load the settings page the spinning wheel never goes away and the page freezes, to the point where the tab needs to be closed.

This occurs even when all other plugins are deactivated, and I am unable to use WP debug or the Chrome inspector console due to the page freezing and never loading.

I am able to view the My Bookings and Event Types pages in the admin, and can view/edit the pages that the default booking types created automatically. The only issue is with the settings page at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcal_admin#/settings

I was able to replicate this issue with a fresh WP install, no other plugins installed, and the default Twenty Twenty theme.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Eric,

    Apologies for the delay.

I like to know your Browser & it’s version,
OS and its version and PHP version.

Can I have the link to the test site with WP login credentials? as we are unable to recreate the issue. You can directly mail us the credential to support(at )wpcal.io

@wpcal Thanks for the reply. I have found that the issue seems to only occur when using the Chrome browser (latest version). I was able to get the WPCal.io admin settings section to work properly in the latest version of Firefox.

My PC uses Windows 10 but I also had this issue on my Chromebook (which, of course, runs Chrome).

My site uses PHP version 7.2.30.

I will email you login credentials for the test site, but I believe the issue lies within Chrome.

Any help you can provide is much appreciated.

@kuznacic I got your site credentials. I checked in both Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows 10 Chrome. It is working fine.

Can you please try in the Chrome incognito mode? The issue can be due to some extension.

@wpcal Unfortunately I still have the same issue in a Chrome incognito window with all extensions disabled. I am out of ideas.

Any other suggestions? If we can’t get it figured out I can always work off of Firefox but I imagine this issue might also arise for others so I am willing to keep going to help figure it out.

@kuznacic I really appreciate your help.
I will check with my team and get back to you on this.

@kuznacic I think we have to do remote support(screen sharing) to figure this out. Before that can you please check any error in the PHP log. Even though it shouldn’t be the direct cause of freezing, we might get some hint.

@wpcal I looked through the logs of the test site (no traffic other than us) and the only WPCal related items have to do with admin-ajax.php.

I will send SFTP credentials for the test site to your support email so that you can go in and take a look for yourself.

You can reply to that message to arrange a screen share meeting. For time coordination, I am in Central Daylight Time USA (same as Chicago).

@wpcal Just circling back around on this. Do you still want me to help troubleshoot? Have you had a chance to access the test site via sFTP to view the logs?

I plan to delete the test site as soon as it is no longer needed, so please let me know if you no longer need access to it.

@kuznacic Checked SFTP, logs doesn’t have any errors related to freezing issue. We can do a screen sharing session, will update you tomorrow on that by direct mail.

With the release v0.9.1.1 this issue has been fixed.
Also confirmed by @kuznacic in a separate mail.
