Its in the title. Our settings page stopped working at some point and it will not save changes nor allow us to navigate to the subpages like ‘Email Notifications’ or ‘Pages’.

The error we receive in dev tools is:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 ()

At the bottom of the settings page, in the apply lists option, there is the following error:
There has been a critical error on this website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,

Your hosting provider is the best route to get critical errors addressed.

That error is part of the built-in WordPress protection for sites that have crashed due to bad or invalid code (also known as a White Screen of Death, or WSOD for short).

The message typically indicates your plugin or theme function is conflicting, so if you have access to your WP Admin dashboard, try deactivating all plugins. If you don’t have access to your dashboard, you can try to reset your plugins manually (no WP Admin access is required).

This guide explain those steps in more detail.

If that resolves the issue, you can manually reactivate each one individually, checking the site between each one until you find the cause.

If the above steps don’t work and you are still seeing that same error message, I recommend please you contact your hosting provider.
