On the settings page I cant open any subpages/links to Display Options, Email Resports and so on. This happens on Firefox and Edge and no console error is logged. The direct link e.g. …/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wps_settings_page&tab=display-settings (if that is the correct link) is also not working – I’m always landing on general settings.

Is there a known problem? I don’t use the premium version but the free one, version 14.12.1.

  • Hi naturfreundeschweiz,

Thank you for opening the thread!

After checking, I can confirm that the direct link and WP Statistics settings tabs are working properly.

Could you please try clearing the cache, doing a hard reload (Ctrl + Shift + R), and checking the page in incognito mode?

    Looking forward to your response!

    Regards,
    Sania

Thank you for the fast answer! I tried both but nothing changed.

On second check of the console I have to change my statement: There is no error message that shows up when clicking but I do see an error:

Uncaught TypeError: window.wp.domReady is not a function
    <anonymous> .../wp-content/plugins/filebird-pro/assets/dist/main.tsx-51fcf8dc.js?ver=1:85

I deactivated the plugin FileBird for testing and the error disappears but the problem says unfortunately.

OKay so I wasn’t on WordPress 6.7.1 yet and after the update it works again!

I do have another question though: The main reason I wanted to go to the settings was the new “Statistics – Latest Visitors” Tab that now shows up for every user in the editor and contains only an upgrade now button. Is there a way to deactivate that? I have a looot of users and to change it for each and every one for them would be terrible.

    Hi?naturfreundeschweiz,

Thank you for the update! We’re glad to hear that updating WordPress resolved the issue.

The banner you mentioned is designed to inform users about the features available in our Data Plus add-on. We have designed it to be non-intrusive and not disruptive to the user experience.

Thank you for your continued support!

Thank you very much. It’s not really unintrusive though. We have our own sections and meta fields there and this banner comes above it and takes half the screen. It would be really great if it can be deactivated or at least folded in by default

    Dear naturfreundeschweiz,

We apologize for your less-than-perfect experience with this matter.

WP Statistics is a free, open-source plugin trusted by over 600,000 users to manage their website’s statistical data. We also offer paid features for those looking to extend the plugin’s functionality.

Please review this GIF— as shown, the banner should not block or overlap any part of the page.

However, if you are experiencing it differently, kindly share a screenshot with us.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Best,
    Sania

We hope this update enhances your experience with WP Statistics.

Thank you for your continued support!

    Regards,
