    Hello,

Thank you for creating and supporting the PDF Embedder plugin.

I have two questions (explained below):

    1. Where are the Settings? (they’re not under Settings)

    2. How can I get the PDF to load full-width in the container?
(without either A. clicking the zoom + button, or B. without resizing the browser)

    – – –

    1. Where are the Settings? (they’re not under Settings)

    In your documentation it says:

“You can change the default appearance – e.g. width, and toolbar position/appearance through Settings -> PDF Embedder.”

However, that setting does not exist in my installation.

Where can I manage the settings?

Can you give me a URL I can use on my site (which the above link would have pointed to?).

    2. How can I get the PDF to load full-width in the container?
(without either A. clicking the zoom + button, or B. without resizing the browser)

I’ve set the width=”max” and even added an inline style (style=”width: 100%!important;”).

But no matter what, when the page loads the PDF is not full width in the container.

However, once I click the Zoom + (plus) symbol it fills the container.

And when I set width=”1200″ when the page loads the PDF extends outside of the container.

If I resize the browser the PDF will then snap into full width size in the container.

How can I get the PDF to load full-width in the container without either A. clicking the zoom + button, or B. without resizing the browser?

    Thank you,

    Chris

  • Thank you for your message.

Please could you email [email protected] for support on this? Ideally send an admin login so I can take a look.

    1. Maybe you’re not logging in as admin, or maybe something else on your site is causing a conflict so the plugin can’t add itself to the menu.

    2. It sounds like something else on your page (e.g. your Theme’s Javascript) is causing the plugin again to be unable to initialize itself when it should. The action you see when resizing the window is exactly what should also happen when it first loads. Something else on your site (maybe ‘Javascript transitions’) are preventing this from happening when it first appears.

Anyway, please email details to [email protected] and I’ll take a look.

    Thanks,

    Dan
