• hi, thanks for the wonderful pluging.

When I open a certain post type in a new blank window (via clicking on a link in a previously opened window), the post type settings I applied in the plugin don’t apply to that post.

But if I opened the post in the same window, the settings do apply, with unnecessary plugins disabled. It’s odd, because the post is of the same post type. Is there a solution to this?

Also, in the admin, when I click on “overview”, I sometimes get this pop-up where the text is squeezed into the right side and can be barely seen.

    Thank you for any help!

Just to follow up, I thought the problem was opening a link in a new window. Actually, any link opened from that page will lead to a post with no settings applied. That’s odd, because it is definitely the same post of the same post type that I applied settings to in the admin.

Also, in the same sense, if I open a link directly by typing in its address from the address bar, the post will open with all plugins enabled. It’s odd.

    Thanks for any help.

Well, here’s I have noticed so far, while testing this in a variety of ways.

    A. Let’s say I opened a “stock” post type from this page https://investwise.co.kr/iw-screener/. The post linked from the page will open fine with all unnecessary plugins disabled. Now I copy the address in the URL bar and put it in another window, the post will continue to open fine with all unnecessary plugins disabled.

    B. the problem occurs when I open the same “stock” post type from this page https://investwise.co.kr/stocks/dj-summary/. Now the post will open with ALL plugins enabled, as if no settings have been applied at all (as if the plugin had just been freshly installed with no settings touched, but with only the debug messaging on). If I copy that address into another window, the same will happen — no plugins disabled.

This is creepy in a way, because I know they are both the same post.

The difference in opening them is that case A opened from an internal filter and case B opened by clicking on a raw link. Yet the link copied from the post in case A also opens with plugins disabled even though it is opening with a raw link in a new window. Creepy.

By the way I tried disabling some plugins globally and they are indeed disabled globally, regardless of whether you opened like in case A or B.

Also I have no problem described above with regular, WordPress default “posts”. (non custom post type).

Thanks. Appreciate any help. I really like this plugin and would like to keep using it.

I’m not sure why opening in a new window would affect it. Unless there are URL arguments added to the URL.

Version 10.1.8 should fix the text in the admin popups.
