• Overly complicated to set up for google photos as compared to other 1-click setups. Even after following the convoluted instructions, still didn’t work. Jonky. Avoid.

    Would you like some assistance with making it work? As you can see on this forum I am very quick and efficient with help.

    Also, can you point me to a one-click setup for Google Photos? Even a paid plugin should help. Maybe I could figure out how to make things easier?

    Do let me know if you would still like help in getting this to work for your site. My guess is that the “still didn’t work” comment stems from a bug introduced at Google’s end, for which I posted a patch at the top of this very forum, and subsequently ensured that it was a part of the release yesterday.

    Also, I am sincerely interested in understanding what you found “clear as mud” (if I could be better with screenshots etc.), and how other plugins for Google Photos do things with a single click (I may be wrong, but as far as I am aware Photonic is the ONLY plugin here with Google Photos integration).

    I have to agree the setup is not clear at all. You should provide an example on how to get the plugin working. I am trying to use it with WP gallery, but no instructions.

    @bg17aw,
    Can you start a support thread? You can add one at the bottom of the support forum.

    I have very extensive documentation for the plugin, the links to which are all included in the Photonic → Getting Started section, but you might have a very specific requirement.

    I am exceptionally prompt with responding to support queries, so I can respond to your queries on the forum.

    @bg17aw,
    To add to my previous post, if you are working with WP galleries, this is what you can refer to. Let me know if you require additional help (please start a support forum topic for that, since other people’s reviews are not meant for product support).

    Thank you, I only posted here trying to help, and yes, you are right, I missed the documentation in the getting started section.

    What I would suggest:

    – Add links to the documentation in the Installation section (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/photonic/#installation), something like step1: install, step 2: go to the documentation for each of the galleries you need.

    – in the Getting started section, make it clearer there are links with examples and tutorials below, in the table. I for one missed it.

    Nice plugin, to be fair, one of the best

    @bg17aw,
    Thanks for the feedback. I will add the instructions to the installation steps.

    The information on the Getting Started page does say this, though ?? :

    The following table tells you what you need for each provider, and provides you with links for how to show something using Photonic.

    I will try and see how to make this clearer.
