  • Hello!
I’m trying to install The Home Page Slider. In your “how to” you write:

    1. Once the ‘Home‘ page template has been set, navigate to Appearance > Theme Options (Appearance > Customizer in newer themes) and under the ‘Homepage‘ tab set a category for the home page slider (Note: The naming of the ‘Homepage’ tab might depend on theme, e.g. you might see ‘Home’ instead of ‘Homepage’).

But I don’t have a tab with such naming. No Homepage, no Home))
Why? what should I do to setup the slider? My goal is to make each slide clickable.

I believe those instructions are for the premium version of the Portfolio Theme which includes a Home Page template. Portfolio Lite works differently. To setup a slideshow on your home page with Portfolio Lite follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Pages > Add New.
    2. Enter a Page Title.
    3. Under Page Attributes on the right, choose the Gallery Slideshow template.
    4. Click the Add Media button.
    5. Click the Create Gallery link on the left.
    6. Upload and/or select the images for your slideshow.
    7. Click the blue Create a new gallery button.
    8. Click the blue Insert gallery button.
    9. Publish the page.

After completing those steps to create a slideshow page, you can then set that page as your front page by navigating to Settings > Reading within the WordPress admin. Then choosing to display your slideshow page as the static front page for your website.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

Thanks) I did exactly so earlier and it works. But can I make a link for each slide in the lite theme version?

    Hi @svetartbase,

Having each slide as a post link is currently only possible using the premium version of the theme, https://organicthemes.com/theme/portfolio-theme/

    Thanks!
